UNCERTAINTY. ISOLATION. FEAR.
HOPE. UNITY. COURAGE.

30 Hungarian born artists from 6 countries and 13 different cities tell the poetic tale of wounded hope in their native Hungarian language, with a special appearance by Colm Feore.
2020 changed the world as we knew, taking a toll on our physical and mental well-being.
KZ O. 2.0 is a quarantine project, the COVID inspired edition of János Pilinszky’s KZ-Oratórium.
The words are the same, the event is different. The feeling of isolation, shock, lack of control, uncertainty, and fear is present during this current pandemic. Yet the emergence of unity, camaraderie, grit, faith, love, and hope is also palpable around the world harvesting courage and resilience.

Our extraordinary cast offered their time and talent to record their parts remotely, using home recording devices. We intended to use our creativity to escape from a crippling situation, connecting from all over the world in one language, with one heart, through one poem.
The sacred story of Pilinszky’s masterpiece of separation and unification, life, and death gave us purpose and meaning in our isolation.
We hope the message will continue to inspire people for decades to come.
